Newsletter: November fixtures, in studio for Ultra World, Forever Bees

Hi again NYC Bees! It's been an up-and-down October, but hopefully we're back on the right track heading into the new month. Here is the latest to prep for November and catch you up on the happenings within our group!

Three-game set for November
With an international window taking up a portion of the schedule, Brentford has just three league matches in November. We'll be at The Red Lion, 151 Bleecker St., for all of them, starting with Sunday, Nov. 8, against Brighton. The pub will open its doors early for us (9 a.m. ET).

Third win keeps Brentford in top-6
It wasn't pretty, but the result was necessary. Thiago's second league goal of the season, and the help of an own goal, were enough to lead Brentford to a 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest on Oct. 31. It was the Bees' third win of the season to mark a positive moment in the club's 100th Premier League match. There's still much work to be done in rekindling the optimism felt during the five-game unbeaten streak to open 2026-27. Fortunately Brentford gutted this one out, and at the end of the day, the team is still sitting in a great position (sixth) in a congested PL table.

NYC Bees in studio: Ultra World Podcast
About a year ago, we were fortunately one of the starting points for the development and content toward the Ultra World Podcast. In mid-October, I had a chance to drop into Radio Waves Studios in Manhattan for a special Brentford/NYC Bees episode! Hosted by Sean Cassels (pictured) and Marc Ernay, these guys have done a stellar job giving folks like us a voice, while painting a picture of the New York-area football fandom as a whole. We ended up with about 45 minutes of solely Brentford and NYC Bees focus on this episode: Brentford Continues to Ascend. Had a great time in the studio, and hopefully we'll see them again on a match day in Greenwich Village!
