Ultra World Podcast features NYC Brentford supporters at Red Lion

A new media outlet has been doing a superb job of covering the football fandom throughout New York City over the past several months. The NYC Bees and Brentford were featured in the Ultra World Podcast on Jan. 9, with a bunch of our New York and New Jersey supporters chatting with hosts Sean Cassels and Marc Ernay.

The duo dropped into The Red Lion in Greenwich Village to speak with a number of Bees fans during the club's 1-0 victory against Aston Villa in late August of 2025. The conversations provided a nice sampling of the folks who have latched onto the West London-based club, and what draws them into the New York supporters' group on a weekly basis. Interviews included NYC Bees co-founder Charlie Corr, Bruce and Sarah Muni, and Dan Mitzelman.

Big thanks to Sean and Marc for their work in putting together this feature, and we'll cross paths again down the road!

NYC Bees feature: Premier League Matchdays Together with Guinness

The NYC Bees were featured in one of its most high-profile pieces since our group was formed. Our Brentford supporters group took part in the Premier League Matchdays Together with Guinness, with several interviews and footage from our pub, The Red Lion, in Greenwich Village!

Hosted by Nakeira West, the COPA90-produced project included chats with NYC Bees Co-Founder Charlie Corr from nearby Washington Square Park, shorter conversations with fellow NYC Bees Dan Mitzelman and Alison Roberts from outside the pub, and of course a drop-in of our Brentford-Chelsea watch event on Dec. 15. We drew more than 30 fans that afternoon.

The Premier League filtered this video and other snippets through their social media platforms, which is naturally a big boost for us. The PL has a massive following on Instagram (76.5 million followers), X (45 million followers) and YouTube (7.9 million subscribers).

Thank you to all our supporters for repping Brentford in New York City, the piece turned out great!

COPA90 media's PL and Guinness NYC Bees content upcoming

The Dec. 15 match against Chelsea was a success, off the pitch at least! We had an impressive turnout (30-plus supporters) and fantastic participation when COPA90 media dropped into The Red Lion for some upcoming content for the Premier League and Guinness!

We had a handful of interviews outside the pub, some game day camera footage throughout our space inside the pub, preceded by an NYC Bees conversation off-site with COPA90's crew at Washington Square Park. The NYC Bees will be a key focal point for a feature on some of the non-Big 6 supporter bases located here!

COPA90 has not provided the rollout details and schedule from these interviews, but stay tuned for updates. This is potentially a massive opportunity, especially if this is circulated on the PL's main platforms!

NYC Bees group, Red Lion featured on PL Fanzone on Peacock

New York City's Brentford FC supporters' group, along with the host pub, were featured during the Sept. 16 showing of Premier League Fanzone, live on Peacock. The program ran some footage of the NYC Bees' home, The Red Lion in Greenwich Village (151 Bleecker St.), followed by an interview with NYC Bees Co-Founder Charlie Corr.

The glimpse into the pub was captured during the Sept. 14 match between Brentford and defending champions Manchester City. Anita Nneka Jones and Leroy Rosenior host the Monday edition of Fanzone, which was the first time our supporters' group was involved with that day's proceedings.

This appearance was sandwiched in between a pair of Friday Fanzones, which have been commonplace for our group (five times during the 2023-24 season). Heading into the weekend we made a cameo appearance during the Sept. 13 show with Will Perry and former Brentford loanee Clinton Morrison. On Sept. 20, NYC Bees' Dan Mitzelman made his show debut to cap off that day's supporter commentary.

It marked the busiest stretch for us on Peacock to make three appearances in an eight-day period!
