This marked the sixth occasion the NYC Bees have either had an appearance or feature segment with Fanzone during the 2025-26 season. Thanks as always for the invite!

NYC Bees garner fifth spot this season on PL Fanzone on Peacock
Fanzone is broadcast on Mondays and Fridays. This season, we've primarily been on the Monday show with Anita Jones and Leroy Rosenior, and they've been great in giving us ample segments (i.e. 3 minutes for the latest show).
If you are interested in participating in this worldwide live program either later this season or for 2026-27, reach out to us and we'd be happy to connect you with the PL Fanzone production team!

NYC Bees, Brentford net higher billing for PL Fanzone on Peacock
Little ol' Brentford typically is booked over the final minutes of this twice-weekly program, produced by the league in London. We gave a quick perspective of the club as the Bees prepare for their big home match against Arsenal on Thursday, Feb. 12.
This was a very last-minute booking. If we have other opportunities down the road to plan in advance, please reach out to us and let us know if you're interested in participating.
Fanzone runs on Mondays and Fridays, but we've mostly been a regular part of the Monday program this season as the production team is giving us ample time. It's a great way to show your fandom and expertise!

NYC Bees on PL Fanzone: Looking at Brentford's shorthanded win at Villa
The show was broadcast live on Peacock in the states. Brentford was the final segment to speak on the club's run to seventh place, overcoming a Kevin Schade red card to somehow gain all three points in the Bees' first win at Villa Park. There also was the look back at Villa's goal, which was taken away because of a clear-cut out-of-bounds sequence before the buildup, verified by VAR and multiple camera angles. It appears the third-place Villa supporters cannot stomach the moment, still.
Thanks as always to the Fanzone folks, who always host use several times during the Premier League season. As we gain more and more success, the odds of them needing a Brentford guest will increase. Feel free to reach out to the NYC Bees for more information or an introduction to Fanzone's production team if you'd like to participate!Monday, December 29, 2025

New York City Bees: Brentford FC Media Hits (2021-present)
The New York City Bees have garnered nearly a hundred media hits and special features since Brentford's rise to the Premier League in 2021. Learn more about us below:
Peacock and NBC Sports (PL Stories)
July 19, 2023: The NYC Bees are prevalently featured on this Premier League Productions series. NYC Bees Co-Founder Charlie Corr is interviewed (and does the introductory team voice overs) to provide some insight on the NYC fandom. On Peacock, the feature is PL Stories: Season 2, Episode 61. NBC Sports posted the feature on its YouTube page for North American-based viewers, but the video has recently been set to private. HERE is the segment uploaded to our drive; the audio and background music has been altered, but the interview discussion is clear. (Peacock is a subscription media outlet.)
The Athletic and New York Times
Feb. 20, 2023: NYC Bees Charlie Corr (Manhattan) and Levar Riley (Newark, N.J.) are interviewed by The Athletic's Brentford beat writer, Jay Harris, for a piece focusing on the American Bees support. Corr discusses his draw to the club in 2015 and the growth of the fan group at The Red Lion, and Riley talks about his search for a footballing club back in 2019, and how Brentford checked all the boxes for what he wanted in a team. (The Athletic is a subscription media outlet.)
Oct. 5, 2025: During pregame of Brentford FC's road match against Manchester City, NYC Bees Co-Founder Charlie Corr spoke with host Delyth Lloyd and football reporter George Addo on BBC Radio's live Sunday Sportsworld pre-game panel. Key topics included new manager Keith Andrews, Thiago and the new-look Bees attack, season predictions and more! This was our third spot on the program, which has a global audience of 188 million.

Premier League Matchdays Together with Guinness
Jan. 6, 2025: The NYC Bees took part in this COPA90-produced feature that highlighted the NYC Bees. Hosted by Nakeira West, the piece included chats with NYC Bees Co-Founder Charlie Corr from nearby Washington Square Park, conversations with Dan Mitzelman and Alison Roberts, and a drop-in of our Brentford-Chelsea watch event on Dec. 15, which drew more than 30 fans. The PL filtered this video throughout their social media channels, including Instagram (76.5 million followers), X (45 million) and YouTube (7.9 million subscribers). We also had a couple cameos in a Jan. 24 series montage.
The NYC Bees connected with Two Circles, the Premier League's marketing agency that promotes the PLinUSA social media channels (which have a couple million followers). In the final months of the 2024-25 PL season and the opening months of 2025-26, a handful of our supporters were featured in the league's content, stemming from our conversations outside The Red Lion in Manhattan.
Aug. 4, 2025: As part of the Athlon Sports 2025-26 Premier League Preview issue, football writer Michael Lewis spoke with NYC Bees co-founder Charlie Corr for the piece, Examining the Premier League's Booming American Fandom. Lewis would later feature the NYC Bees as part of a drop-in at The Red Lion in September of 2025, with a future piece on his Substack channel, View From The Front Row.
Oct. 23, 2025: About a half dozen of us spoke with North American football writer Michael Lewis for a feature on View From The Front Row: A Saturday afternoon at The Red Lion. With about 20 of us on hand for a Brentford-Fulham match, Lewis soaked in the experience and reactions to tell the story of the NYC Bees, in the midst of their fifth season setting up shop in Manhattan.

NYC Bees Co-Founder Charlie Corr joined hosts Anita Nneka Jones and Leroy Rosenior to chat about Brentford's growth as a mid-table Premier League club that's been turning more heads in the midst of the Bees' fourth PL campaign.
This was our second time on the Monday Fanzone program and our fifth overall this season. Big thanks to Anita and Leroy who have given us some strong questions and good time on their version of the program.

NYC Bees group, Red Lion featured on PL Fanzone on Peacock
The glimpse into the pub was captured during the Sept. 14 match between Brentford and defending champions Manchester City. Anita Nneka Jones and Leroy Rosenior host the Monday edition of Fanzone, which was the first time our supporters' group was involved with that day's proceedings.
This appearance was sandwiched in between a pair of Friday Fanzones, which have been commonplace for our group (five times during the 2023-24 season). Heading into the weekend we made a cameo appearance during the Sept. 13 show with Will Perry and former Brentford loanee Clinton Morrison. On Sept. 20, NYC Bees' Dan Mitzelman made his show debut to cap off that day's supporter commentary.
It marked the busiest stretch for us on Peacock to make three appearances in an eight-day period!

NYC Bees reflect on Toney's international history on PL Fanzone
Toney recently became the first Brentford player to ever score for the England national team, so we highlighted that feat. We also spoke about the Brentford-Manchester United matchup and its recent history that included a 4-0 trouncing during the 2022-23 season.
Fanzone is an international call-in show that is broadcasted live on the Premier League channel on Peacock. The show isn't archived or posted online. If you ever want to take part in the program, let us know and we'll connect you to the show in the future!

Joining Premier League's FanZone
In the lead-up to Brentford's victory against West Ham (our third consecutive win), I was fortunate to join the broadcast of Premier League FanZone show on Nov. 3. We had an appearance or two during our first EPL season, so it's been a while since our last spot. We'd love to get more Bees supporters involved so your voices are heard! If you submit your name, the club you support and your location via Skype, you can potentially be on their show, which runs twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. Feel free to contact me, as well, for further information and guidance.
NYC Bees on NBC for Rebecca Lowe B-Day Segment
Nov. 11 marked the birthday of NBC Sports anchor Rebecca Lowe, and the NYC Bees took part in the celebratory segment that day. Our supporters got some airtime in wishing Rebecca a Happy Birthday as part of a montage filmed at The Red Lion the week before. Lowe, of course, is married to former Bees player Paul Buckle. The NYC Bees were second on the montage, drawing a nice reaction from Rebecca who was watching her monitor. Thank you to the league and For Soccer marketing for including us: We were the only Brentford group (among eight selected fan bases) and the only NYC-based Premier League group on this segment, so it certainly says a lot about our impact in drawing this exclusive opportunity!
Brentford News & Notes
Phil Giles Interview with BIAS: The Brentford Independent Association of Supporters (BIAS) secured an exclusive interview with Brentford Director of Football Phil Giles. The conversation was released following the BIAS AGM on Nov. 15, and Giles discussed the January transfer window, Ivan Toney, VAR, the club's development and much more. Membership to BIAS is free, so visit their site or email feedback@bias.org.uk if you are interested in more information.
Ghoddos earns PL Goal Honor: Midfielder Saman Ghoddos took home the honor of Premier League Goal of the Month in October, for his long-distance strike against Burnley that secured a 3-0 Brentford victory. The Iran international, who was released by the club in the summer, eventually re-signed with the Bees in August for the 2023-24 season.
Yarmoliuk Makes First PL Start: With the bevy of injury news surrounding this club, it was nice to see a positive moment as 19-year-old Yehor Yarmoliuk garnered his first Premier League start during Brentford's match against Arsenal. Yarmoliuk was thrust into the Starting XI with the absence of Mathias Jensen. The Ukrainian joined the Bees in July of 2022, and most recently on the international side he was playing for Ukraine's U-21s earlier this month.
Quick Hits: In big Premier League news on Nov. 17, Everton was deducted 10 points for a breach of the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSRs). At the time of the independent commission's decision, Everton fell to 19th place in the league table. Brentford lost 3-1 to Everton back in September. ... Brentford reopened Wheatsheaf Park on Oct. 31 as the home grounds for the club's B Team and U-18 fixtures, and there is potential for the women's teams to play there down the road. ... A total of 16 Brentford players (11 senior teamers) were called up for their respective nations during the November international window.
