IT'S OFFICIAL: XSL GOES ON HIATUS

As reported Wednesday morning on Examiner.com, the Chicago-based Xtreme Soccer League announced Friday that it is going on a one-year hiatus. This announcement jeopardizes the long-term future of the Chicago Storm organization, which played its professional indoor soccer games at the Sears Centre Arena. The Storm launched in 2004, and the 2008-09 campaign was the one and only in the XSL after four seasons in the former Major Indoor Soccer League.
